Cordaid

Cordaid is one of the largest international development organizations, comprising Cordaid Memisa, Cordaid Mensen In Nood, Cordaid Microkrediet, Cordaid Bond zonder Naam, Cordaid Kinderstem and Vastenaktie. We are active in 36 countries and have a thousand partners worldwide.

Our basis

The Dutch government is funding our work substantially since 1965. Some 400.000 Dutch donate financially to us and assist with voluntary work. We receive contributions of the European Union and cooperate with companies, capital holdings and financial institutions.

Our values

We believe in social and economic justice for everybody. We trust in the strength of people. We support people to build a better future by them selves.

Our work

We work mostly with non-governmental organizations (our partners) that represent underprivileged people. Together we fight poverty with sustainable development programs. In emergencies we provide relief aid and assist reconstruction activities. Some of our budget is spent on influencing policy, to achieve structural solutions.
